VADODARA: Not everybody in Vadodara is ruing over the latest floods that introduced woes for Barodians. Crocodiles in Sayajibaug zoo, for one, as eight fully-grown reptiles escaped when the flood waters gushed into town within the final week of Aug.
The reptiles swam into Vishwamitri that flows only a few toes away from their enclosure.
“Initially, we did not realise this, because the flood waters have been very excessive. When the waters began receding, we could not see the crocodiles. We thought they’d be someplace within the park. However they’ve all escaped,” Pratyush Patankar, Sayajibaug zoo curator, stated.
