In a publish on social media platform X, Musk confirmed the timeline, saying that these missions will coincide with the following Earth-Mars switch window, set to open in two years.

The success of those uncrewed flights will decide the timeline for SpaceX’s first crewed mission to Mars. Musk indicated that if the uncrewed missions land safely, crewed missions may start in 4 years. Nevertheless, any main challenges may push the crewed timeline again by one other two years.
