Former president Jair Bolsonaro’s rightwing get together led Brazil’s municipal elections, narrowly edging out leftist candidate Guilherme Boulos in Sao Paulo. Outgoing mayor Ricardo Nunes secured 29.4% of votes, whereas Boulos gained 29%. Populist outsider Pablo Marcal, ending third with 28.1%, was eradicated. A second spherical of voting is about for October 27, election officers confirmed.
