Halo Infinite co-developer Skybox Labs is shedding 25 staff.
The NetEase studio stated the redundancies are being made in response to the “unprecedented challenges which have impacted so many corporations within the trade.”
Skybox was fashioned in 2011 and has labored on notable titles like Minecraft, Fallout 76, Future 2, and Halo Infinite. The corporate has expanded considerably over time, and at present has over 275 staff members engaged on a number of triple-A initiatives.
Chinese language conglomerate NetEase acquired Skybox Labs in 2023 for an undisclosed charge. On the time, NetEase stated it could present the studio with the sources and execution capabilities required to retain employees and rent new staff.
