Mysuru: The second batch of 5 Dasara elephants arrived at Mysore Palace yesterday night and joined the primary batch of 9 elephants that are housed in short-term sheds at Mysore Palace premises.
Upon their arrival, the 5 elephants — Prashanth, Hiranya, Mahendra, Dodda Harave Lakshmi and Sugreeva — got conventional welcome at Jayamarthanda Gate of Mysore Palace and have been let into the Palace premises.

This morning, among the many 14 Dasara elephants, 12 of them, led by Captain Abhimanyu, went on a Jumboo Savari route familiarisation train. Elephants Kanjan and Varalakshmi have been rested immediately.
