Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated Section-II of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Mission. He shared footage on his X deal with, displaying him travelling within the metro and interacting with college students. He was accompanied by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
The phase-II mission will join 21 km between the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Motera and Gandhinagar Sector 1 over eight stations. The mission has been constructed at an estimated value of Rs. 5,384 crore and can hyperlink main areas similar to Gujarat Nationwide Regulation College (GNLU), Pandit Deendayal Power College (PDEU), GIFT Metropolis and extra.
After the inauguration of the second section, the Ahmedabad Metro Rail will now have a community of 68 km on two strains — north-south hall and east-west hall, with 54 stations, 4 of that are underground. The primary section, inaugurated by the Prime Minister in 2022, covers a 33.5-km-long north-south hall, for which the journey time is 65 minutes and the fare Rs 35.
He can even inaugurate the nation’s first Vande Bharat Metro, which has been renamed because the Namo Bharat Speedy Rail, later in the present day. Based on the Railway Ministry, the practice will improve connectivity between Bhuj and Ahmedabad and can cowl 359 km in 5.45 hours.
For the general public, the common service will begin on September 17 from Ahmedabad. The full journey will value Rs 455.
Notably, Prime Minister Modi arrived in his residence state for the primary time after the Lok Sabha polls on Sunday. He met the beneficiaries of the ‘PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijlee Yojna’, a free electrical energy scheme within the state’s capital Gandhinagar on Monday morning.
