Safety forces averted a significant tragedy once they recovered and destroyed an Improvised Explosive System (IED) alongside the Baramulla Handwara Nationwide Freeway in North Kashmir on Thursday.
Officers mentioned suspicious object was discovered at Thokerpora alongside the Handwara-Baramulla freeway, resulting in the suspension of site visitors within the space as a precautionary measure.
They mentioned the world was sealed and a Bomb Disposal Squad was known as.
“The suspected object was blasted in a managed explosion,” officers mentioned.
Military’s Srinagar based mostly Chinar Corps mentioned a significant terror incident was averted with the restoration of the IED.
