A personnel of the Border Safety Drive (BSF) was injured after Pakistani forces violated ceasefire alongside the Line of Management (LoC) in Jammu on Wednesday, information company PTI reported.
The Indian troops retaliated to the unprovoked firing from the opposite aspect of the LoC and gave a befitting reply to the Pakistani Rangers. Nevertheless, there was no speedy report of any casualties or accidents on the opposite aspect.
“At about 2.35 am, an incident of unprovoked firing within the Akhnoor space from throughout the border occurred, and which was befittingly responded by the BSF. One BSF personnel sustained accidents in Pakistani firing”, a spokesperson of the power was quoted as saying by PTI.
Following the Pakistani offensive, Indian troops alongside the Worldwide Border and the LoC have been placed on excessive alert, he added.
Notably, the frequency of incidents of ceasefire violations has been very low since 2021, when the 2 nations renewed the ceasefire settlement.
