Hundreds of individuals have attended the funeral of Rebecca Cheptegei, in Uganda.
The Olympian marathon runner was killed by her ex-partner, following a dispute over land.
Members of Uganda’s armed forces carried Cheptegei’s coffin and gave a three-volley salute, as she was a part of the military.
The BBC’s senior Africa correspondent, Anne Soy, attended the funeral and commented on how enormous crowds got here to honour the athlete.
