The Division of Telecom has requested unregistered machine-to-machine service suppliers to register by month-end, as non-registration might result in disruption of companies, an official assertion stated on Tuesday. As of June 30, there have been 5.2 crore M2M mobile cell connections.
“Division of Telecommunications (DoT) has urged all unregistered M2M Service Suppliers (M2M SPs) and WPAN/WLAN (gadgets linked wirelessly) Connectivity Suppliers for M2M Companies, to register with DoT instantly and newest by September 30, 2024, to keep away from disruption of their M2M companies.
“Non-compliance might result in withdrawal or disconnection of telecom sources obtained from the Authorised Telecom Licensees,” the assertion stated.
The section is dominated by Bharti Airtel with 2.82 crore connections with a market share of 53.86 per cent, adopted by Vodafone Thought Restricted, Reliance Jio and BSNL with a market share of 27.77, 12.80 and 5.58 per cent, respectively.
