The Class of 2024 included Oliver Gavin and Jan Magnussen within the Racing class Creator, historian and photographer Richard Prince within the Fanatic class, and Retired Govt Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter within the GM Class.
Every of the inductees had been featured in a video highlighting their lives and accomplishments, after which a present HoF member invited them up on stage to obtain their award and make remarks. Oliver Gavin was launched by former Corvette Racing Program Supervisor Doug Fehan. Sadly, Jan couldn’t make it to the ceremony as he’s managing a racing staff within the WEC, and so they had been in Texas at COTA for a race on Sunday. Mid America Motorworks’ founder Mike Yager launched Richard Prince, who then gave a thanks speech that rivaled lots of the endurance races he covers, after which former Chief Engineer Tom Wallace launched Tadge Juechter to the stage.
Behind every of the inductees on the stage was a Corvette representing every of the classes. Oliver’s quantity 4 C7.R Corvette was there, as was a 1965 or ’66 Corvette Coupe which is the form of automotive that Richard used to work on in his store, and eventually, a model new 2025 Corvette ZR1 was recent off the meeting line and pushed to the ceremony. This Speedy Blue ZR1 was the primary that we noticed with the darkish blue brake calipers that are unique to the mannequin.
After the ceremony was over, we caught round and acquired a ton of nice photographs with the inductees getting their photographs taken with lots of the particular friends who attended the ceremony on the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Heart. A few of the huge names to attend included GM President Mark Reuss, GM VP of Motorsports Jim Campbell, in addition to a ton of Corvette Racing folks each previous and current who posed with Oliver and Richard.
Main as much as the occasion, we noticed that the Nationwide Corvette Museum had already positioned the inductees banners up within the NCM SkyDome, and now we have every of the HoF inductee shows from contained in the spire. The oldsters on the Nationwide Corvette Museum did one other implausible job in placing on a firstclass occasion and we congratulate every of the inductees on being chosen to the Corvette Corridor of Fame.
