In line with transport minister Anthony Loke, MyJPJ customers don’t want a MyDigital ID to make use of the app for now, and that the October 10 deadline is cancelled.
“Following a pop-up announcement within the MyJPJ app, I wish to make clear that this isn’t an official announcement, and there may be info that has been disseminated which can confuse the general public. I’ve seen many feedback on social media expressing concern and suggestions relating to this matter.
“Firstly, I’ve instructed that the pop-up be eliminated as there was no resolution from the ministry but. Earlier at the moment, after the post-cabinet assembly, I had discussions with representatives from MyDigital ID. We’re dedicated to supporting the mixing of MyDigital ID with (JPJ),” Loke was quoted by the Malay Mail as saying at a press convention at the moment.
He added that the MyDigital ID-JPJ integration must be executed seamlessly on the back-end, and that this may take a while.
Loke’s announcement comes after varied reviews of Malaysians going through difficulties making an attempt to register for MyDigital ID after studying that it was required to log into the MyJPJ app starting October 10.
“I’ve directed (JPJ) to permit the general public continued entry to the MyJPJ app as standard, and there may be at present no set deadline, guaranteeing there shall be no disruptions,” he added.
